What foods will you be offering oral immunotherapy for?

• We offer oral immunotherapy for peanut, egg, cow's milk, walnut, cashew, sesame, soy, pea and wheat initially with the hope of expanding foods in the near future. 

What if I / my child has multiple allergies?

• We are able to offer multiple food oral immunotherapy with a maximum of 4 foods per treatment.

Where will the visits take place?

• All build up visits will need to be completed under supervision in our clinic in Ballarat. Initial screening visits and maintenance visits can be completed via telehealth.

Are you qualified to offer this service?​​

• Yes, Sigrid Pitkin will be supervising all clinics and performing the screening visits. Sigrid has 8 years experience working on oral immunotherapy clinical trials at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

What if I / my child has had anaphylaxis?

• Anaphylaxis in itself is not an exclusion criteria for treatment. In the screening visit, we will go over all previous reactions to ensure you / your child can receive the treatment safely.

Is oral immunotherapy safe?

• Any treatment comes with risk. All of the risks and benefits will be explained in the consent form and screening visit.
